Lilly is Ready for some FOOTBALL! Geaux Saints!

Daddy was a very happy man on Sunday as it was the first game of the season for the Saints. After church I couldn't resist taking some pictures of Lilly in her new WHO DAT dress. If you look closely Robert is wearing a fleur de lis tie. Such cutie pies! I'm one lucky lady.

Since we bought Lilly the walker she has been standing more. In the pictures below she was walking with daddy's assistance. I'm going to miss these precious moments. She is getting too big too fast.

Lilly Loves Books

Every night before bed we read to Lilly but tonight she decided to take the book herself and flip through the pages. If you listen closely it sounds like she is making up her own story. Ann, Robert and I were amazed!

We also bought her a new walker and she absolutely LOVES it! She has been gliding all across the living room. Took two adult college grads to put it together but we did it and Lilly is happy. Amazed that this thing has a MP3 player...REALLY? She is a baby!

11 Months and FULL of Personality

One more month until Lilly is ONE!! I'm not ready yet. This was a BIG month for Lilly. She attended her first wedding. Her T (Jennifer) got married to Austin. Congrats to the HAPPY Couple!

Here is Lilly with her Gram and T at the wedding rehearsal.

Lilly's great grandparents

Lilly has grown so much this month. She has learned how to scoot and explores every inch of the house. She is eating some table food and has also developed such a loving personality. We are having so much fun! During her 11 month pictures we had four dogs at the house (dog sitting for Jennifer). Lilly was yelling at them and I caught it on camera. Priceless....

Love this one as she is yelling at Bailey

The dogs out number the humans YIKES!

She's on the MOVE

Lilly hasn't learned how to crawl yet but she is definitely on the move. This girl can scoot like no other. As she is exploring the house she has become very fond of drawers. She will open them and remove ALL contents. Its a fun and exciting game for her. She also LOVES mirrors. She is my little princess.

Lilly Bit Me...She Bit Me (Insert British Accent)!

So every night we go through our ritual to get ready for bed which includes bath, dinner, brushing teeth and story time. Well tonight she surprised me. She knows that the tooth brush needs to move back and forth against her teeth. So while I was holding the tooth brush still she moved her head back and forth gliding the brush across her teeth. She is my smart little girl. Then once she was done she chomped down on my finger.. IT HURT! I got the whole thing on video.

Robert taught Lilly to play peek-a-boo. Love this video and her big ole grin on her face. I'm going to go out on a limb here but I think Robert is "Ready for some FOOTBALL" hence Lilly's bib.

Oh and if you don't get the title of the blog, you have to watch a YouTube video called "Charlie Bit Me" Hilarious!

Doing the Splits

We had a great time with friends last night watching the Olympics opening ceremony. Lilly was showing her flexibility again by doing the splits. She is ready to compete in gymnastics.

I think she is getting ready to crawl. :)

Lilly is 10 Months

I think I say this every month but I can't believe Lilly is a month older...now 10 MONTHS. Makes me sad and happy at the same time. She didn't want to smile for her 10 month pictures but still looks so stinkin' cute.

Our baby girl learns something new every day. She still doesn't like being on her tummy and won't crawl but mommy and daddy can entice her with a remote control. Once it lights up she forgets what she is doing and suddenly all is well. The TV settings were so messed up by the time I took it away from her but she enjoyed it. Lilly has also started to stand with some assistance and is drinking from a sippy cup. Bye Bye Bottles!!!! We are so proud of her!

Look at Lilly showing off! What I would give to be that flexible again. :)

Lilly got to meet her 2nd cousin Gina for the first time. There was an instant connection. It was a great weekend filled with wedding festivities, a bridal shower and bachelorette party for Lilly's T.

Every night I put this baby to bed and as I watch her sleeping peacefully and thank God for all the blessings he has given to Robert and I. We LOVE our baby girl so much!

9 Months and Enhancing our Vocabulary

Our baby girl is nine months, where did the time go..seriously...where? She continues to surprise us with her speech. Her words thus far consist of Dada, Dad, Dog, Bye, Ball, Caaa (maybe cat, not quite sure yet since we don't have a cat but there is one at school). Last week I went to get Lilly from school and as we were leaving she pointed at Gabby (the school dog) and said "Dog." I was amazed!! Couldn't believe she made the connection. At first I thought it was a fluke but when we were sitting at the table eating that same night she said dog while looking at Baxter (our Porkie Yorkie Schnauzer). She says dog at the end of the video. Oh and she waves bye bye as well.

After we ate I took her down the hallway to change her and as we were walking I stopped to turn around and said "wave bye bye to daddy". She blurted out "Bye Dad" and waved her hand. Remarkable!!! Robert and I had a good laugh. We couldn't believe what she had just said. Such a smart baby girl! LOVE HER!!

I was remembering a picture I saw of me when I was Lilly's age and I searched and found it in my baby book. I don't think there is a question she is my daughter, I see the resemblance. Of course Lilly is definitely unique and her own person but indeed a good mixture of me and Robert for sure. Poor girl has my ears though. Sorry Lilly, you will grow more hair and you can cover those up. Embrace them while you can because they are CUTE on you. Lilly (left), Mindy (right)

8 Months and Full of Energy

Lilly is full of energy these days. She isn't crawling and refuses to stand but she will flip over and and reach for her toys. Every time we put her on her stomach she immediately flips over on her back. Hate is a strong word but Lilly REALLY despises being on her stomach!! We are working on crawling but she doesn't like being on her knees either. This girl might just get up one day and walk.

Lilly went with her T to get fitted for her wedding dress. Lilly had a lot of fun and was the center of attention at the bridal shop. Sorry Jennifer, Lilly stole the show. Can't wait to post those photos but can't just in case the groom reads this blog.

Lilly loves to clap!!

7 months (First Mother's Day)

Lilly is completly shocked to know she is turning 7 months old. The picture above shows proof. We have such a happy baby girl. Seriously...I know a lot of parents out there brag about thier babies about how good they are but Lilly truly is such a good baby. She giggles, flaps her arms like she is flying away and claps. She learned to clap when we sing "If your happy and you know it, clap your hands." She absolutely loves music!!! My mom keeps reminding me that when baby #2 comes around, that child will be much worse.

It was my first mother's day and I couldn't have been happier spending the day with my two loves. Robert and Lilly surprised me with beautiful lillies. Robert had to work during the day but we were able to go out as a family for a nice dinner. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

6 Months (Easter and Sour Apples)

The sixth month was a month of a lot of firsts. Lilly sat up on her own, started talking more and had a taste of lots of fruits and vegetables. This has to be hands down the funniest video of Lilly so far. At six months we started feeding her solids and she had the best reaction to apples. She LOVES them but this batch was a little sour. Lilly loves to eat!

Lilly and I ran our first 5k together. She needed a diaper change around mile 2. This medal was made by a 11 year old.

Robert and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary. Love this man!

One of the hardest decisions Robert and I had to make was which school we were going to send Lilly to. Although it was hard for mommy and daddy, Lilly seemed to adapt well and made new friends.

Lilly celebrated her first Easter. She did really well throughout the service (as long as I was holding her). Here are some pictures of us outside the church.

Lilly was so over this Easter Bunny she wouldn't even look at him

Lillian's Baptism

Lilly's baptism was so special. Her Papa performed the baptism at Custer Road UMC. Everyone came to see her. Lilly's Gram made her Baptism gown. It is gorgeous!! I hope that one day Lilly's children will wear it. Robert and I are so happy that we found a church we love and want to raise Lilly in. We are truly blessed on this joyous occasion.

Lilly and her two T's. Great T came to see Lilly for the first time.

Four Months Already!

This month was very hard on mommy, I had to return to work. Pawpaw watched her during the day while Robert and I were at work. Lilly started to develop a personality interacting with me and Robert more and more each day. She also started to roll over on her side at night when she sleeps.
I dressed her a little early for Valentine's day but it was just so cute.
Sitting in her bumbo watching mommy clean the kitchen and make bottles.
Ash Wednesday
Rolling on her side to sleep
Don't worry she didn't taste it but it appears so since we has her finger in her mouth. Robert has a similar picture when he was little but it was with a liquor bottle.
