Loving Water Again

Bath time at the Gurley house has been a two person job for the past few months. She used to love bathing and running her hand under the faucet but not anymore. It seemed like we tried everything to get her to enjoy the bath again including bubbles, tons of toys, splashing, us bathing with her, you name it. Well I had one more idea so my mom and I went to the store and bought Lilly a water table for the backyard. She was a little hesitant at first but with help from her T, she started to come around. We splashed, dropped balls down the center, and even drank the water (hey at this point, I don't care). The funny part was as the ground was getting wet from all the splashing Lilly would walk around the table to find some dry spots to stand. She eventually stood in the water but that was because there were no dry spots to be found. After all the play time was over we transitioned her to the bath and although she wouldn't sit in the bath it was such a BIG improvement. She wasn't screaming and clawing at me to get out like she normally does. I think the water table made a big difference and showed Lilly that water is fun again.
