Come on Robert, you can't keep your eyes open when your wife asks you to smile big look into the bright sun and the flash of the camera? Bitsy has her eyes open. Geez!
Our drive started off really good! We were on schedule and stopped to have lunch when I caught these two on camera. They are the two loves of my life, no doubt about that!
Then this happened! Yep, I was driving and we got a BIG OLE HOLE in our tire. So my wonderful husband gets out and puts on the spare tire under the hot San Antonio, TX sun so we could get to a tire place to get it fixed.
Yep, that is Lillian's potty in the background. It's a necessity when traveling with a toddler that is potty training. We had to completely empty the trunk to get the spare out. What a headache!
We found the nearest Discount tire! Luckily it was only 11 miles away. That was the longest 11 miles I have ever driven on a spare. I don't recommend it when on the highway.
We got the news that no one wants when you have a flat. "You need 4 new tires!" EEK!
Once we got the tires we felt safe and we were "On the Road Again" to Corpus! You know you want to see the tune!
We got there around 7pm (It was a little later than we anticipated).

It was getting late but we took Lilly to the beach for the first time that night. She loved the sand and water and didn't want to leave!
We celebrated two important days while on vacation Robert's birthday and Father's Day!
We spent a full day at the beach and had a blast!
So remember when I said earlier that Lillian's potty was a necessity? Well we took it everywhere and that included the beach. We placed her potty under an umbrella so she would be shielded from onlookers. Hey, a girl needs her privacy. We initially forgot the potty so my wonderful husband walked all the way back to the condo (with Lillian on his shoulders) to get it. I love that man and thank God everyday for him!
On Sunday (Father's Day) we took Lillian to the Texas State Aquarium. We started the day off with a dolphin show. She loved it!
That's a Giant Sea Turtle!

She touched the water but not the starfish.
Daddy touched a shark!
My sweet baby girl!
Our Last night at the Beach!
Got that photo right before the water washed it away.
We had a fantastic trip and plan to make this an annual adventure!
